The Shackles look mismatched to me. I think that 39 studs were steel bushings not rubber. Plus what's up with the one side being one shape and the other being another shape.
Get online and check a few catalouges. Van Pelt and Dick Spadaro are Barn members. Lot's of others Like Dennis Carpenter. C&G Early Ford parts. Most of them show a pic of the correct shackles for your truck.

Never saw a speedo gear like that.... may have been installed wrong or damaged somehow

Your spring shackle looks like typical Model A. Check with Model A repro parts catalog

Try Pete and Jake's. They have shackles with delrin bushings.

Maybe I am missing something, but I do not see anything with the speedometer drive gear.

Any of the mail order street rod places (like Speedway) will have the easy to install plastic bushing shackle sets for front and rear.

Is it possible that the speedo gear was cut down to work with a mismatched drive gear and turtle set??
