It was in a 1936 coupe. I'd love to see the new engine that replaced it!

- Blown, injected
- needs a micro processor to run
- $10000
-186HP

Nothing here is impressing me, I am pulling 180 hp on my 8BA without a bower, fuel injection, or a microprocessor? Just don't look right either. Guess it was an interesting science project.

I like the fuel rails and injectors in the valley. Matched port induction tubes are a little out of place. Overall, I like it!!

This wasn't built to impress folk, it was built to have fun and he is obviously a very very clever dude, and doesn't care if it fits in the regular traditional mould. He did it because he could.

The engine is not supercharged. The engine that replaced this one in this man's '36 Ford is. I disagree with you. I think this is a very impresive iteration of our beloved Ford Flathead. The number that I like is the 250 lb/ ft of torque. I'll bet there lots of area under the curve as well. I could see this thing embarrassing the Chevy powered bastard swaps. But that's just me. In addition that is a very good number when you think that this is relatively small cubic inch build. This engine seems to do as well as engines that are 30 to 40 cubes larger. To my this project was aimed at low to mid range torque production. I am basing that on the super long intake runner tubes. I applaud this person for a job well done.

Seems a waste of time putting the rails in the valley. With all that stuff on top, why deal with that problem. A few rails beside the runners would actually make it look better on top.

Because fuel injector placement is critical in any poppet valve engine. Those injectors are placed there because they look to be aimed at the backside of the intake valve. This I presume would enable the fuel to fully mix with and remain suspended into the incoming air charge. This is one of the main advantages of port fuel systems. This man did it right.

A liquid suspended in air traveling at high speed tries to separate and fall out when it encounters abrupt turns and varying intake port diameters and shapes. This type if system is the single biggest advancement in the quest for max power with the minimum of fuel waste. If it were not so they would not exist on ALL modern vehicles. Some people may be turned off by the looks because it is not "traditional". I have a different attitude because I love and appreciate when people try to wring out max power, driveability and efficiency out of Henry's fabulous lump of overachieving wonder.

I love it, I've built several EFI injection systems and non were very successful. I've also built enough flatheads to know that a 180 hp un blown, street gas is near imposable to build and those that succeed don't drive them on the street. Most Dynos Lie. My hat definitely goes off to him, I'd like to more about it.
