Default Convert 1929 from Negative Ground back to Positive

Here is an interesting question. the Previous owner who did the 12v conversion on my 1929 put it to Negative Ground. My question is, how hard is it to put it back to Positive ground?

I took a look at my 'A' yesterday to confirm. Should I just leave it like this or attempt the conversion back to Positive ground from Negative.

Thanks!

Normally when a car is converted to 12v it is also converted negative ground. I would leave it as is.

12V Negative ground is more up-to-date. Makes the A compatible with modern add-ons. There's no advantage to positive ground, unless you're going for originality. And then you have to change back to 6V, which would be a pain. I agree with Ruth, leave as-is.

It depends on what modifications were made, what does it have for generator/ alternator?

it has from what I gather, an AC Delco Alternator, LED turn signals, LED brake lights, standard incandescent headlights now (converted back from sealed beam)

This raises more questions than it answers. Why would you want positive ground? Do you also want to convert it back to 6 volts (at great expense)? Has the starter motor been converted over to 12 volts (all field windings in series)?

Regarding the headlights: Do you drive at night often? If so you could consider the self focusing LED lamps or converting over to halogen lamps (that the alternator will handle OK but the light switch may not).

From the starter prospective, I can't answer, but I would assume it was. Headlights, I sometimes do drive it at night, but not so often. I de-converted from Sealed-Beam back to the original style bulbs, and put period correct onto the car.

If there is no need to go back to Positve-Ground keeping it negative ground is fine by me

LEDs are diodes so they have specific + - power path not like a regular bulb.

The new LogoLites LED headlghts that nkaminar refers to are both + or -, 6v or 12v compatable.

Leave it negative ground, you are past the point of no return.
