Default some engine questions ...

Does anyone know the rod length (center-to-center), piston pin offset (if any) and whether the cylinders are offset from the crank?

The crank is offset .125" from the cylinder center lines. It is closer to the valves by this amount.

The rods should be 7.500 center to center.

Rods center to center 7.500".
Piston pins zero offset, 0.9997 in 1.0000 hole.
Piston compression height (pin center to flat top) is a very odd and high 1.906".
The cylinder bores are offset in the direction of rotation (toward the driver's side) 0.125". The stock deck height (crank center to gasket surface) is 11.500.
They were usually 11.505+ when new, on the high side of the tolerance.
With a 4.25" stroke, if you do the math the pistons will stick up 0.031" on a 11.500 block.
