My daughter moved out of state and gave me her Golden Retriever. When Spring gets here I will see how he does in my '41 Coupe. These posts on others dogs reminds me of something. A dog's love is as close to God's love as you will ever find on this earth.

I may be trying to take the Plotthound we "inherited" from my daughter this coming spring if I can be sure he won't mess with the mohair.

google : Plotthound

Here is my driving partner.....my shop assistant, sweetheart and wife for 54 years. 3 to 4 thousand miles a year on daily errands or long distant trips (PA, Cape Cod, Nova Scotia). Great fun and our old Brittany comes along. We just pulled and refreshed our 46 engine. Put it on the test stand today for a brief run and then back in time for the end of winter (if it ever ends). Also going to install seat belts in the middle front seat for this year so she can sit next to me like the early years. Our first dates were in my 39 Plymouth coupe. Oh those floor shifts into third were GREAT!

John you are very lucky, I hope that my wife and I share that many years together. Here is my co-pilot, she is the one driving the tractor.

Yes...indeed. when we saw Tia at the pound my kids had to have her...but guess who takes care of her...like someone said your dog's love is as close to heaven here on earth that you'll get..ha..ha. heaven forbid when Tia is gone I'm going to get the Bull terrier that I've wanted since I was a kid. Just hope it will like to ride in my Merc ha..ha

When one has a big Ford truck, gotta have a serious working dog. Here's my '47 COE and our Alaskan Malamute "Tank" delivering the Christmas tree a couple years back. He was less than 1 year old in this picture and about 120 lbs.
