After years of off and on work on engine, chassis, cab, fenders and hood, thought I had a good start. Then tried out the bare metal doors. Have 4 sets, and being they are from Colorado, little to no rot. Bur some pretty bad low dents. Hinge and just lower 6" area.

Is it easier to off-dolly hammer and lead or bondo (no more than 1/8" fill?

I'm wondering how to get the "curve" correct. Mount on cab and judge from the body and fit? I've read on this forum that a flat fill panel will adjust to profile, or can be hammered to fit. Should I make a guide from higher up on the door? Profile seems to change top to bottom. Thanks for any ideas - I've learned to respect ideas from forum participants!
