Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
I echo all the comments on Paul's passing. Many of us who never met him felt like he was a good friend thru all his posts on Fordbarn. Sure sounds like a great guy. These online Ford forums allow us to make many friends who we have never met personally. John

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
I was chatting with Paul a few weeks ago at the Cape Cod Mass. V8 meet. He was getting ready to leave for Arizona with his new replacement engine for his car.
He was a fine gentleman. Paul You will be missed very much. May God bless your family at this time of sorrow. Jay |

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
Hard to believe, My condolences to Marg and the family.. I met Paul about 10 years ago as a customer. when he wanted a 21 stud engine for his roadster. Years later when I had to move my shop, he was one of the first to volenteer to help. He and a bunch of friends from Mass, RI and Ct showed up for a week end to move everything. Paul always had a smile on his face, a good friend and he will sueeeeeeeeerely be missed.

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
I'm another one of those who never had the pleasure of meeting Paul but felt that I knew him through his posts. His wisdom and friendship will be greatly missed. As others have mentioned, we seem to be losing a lot of great guys. I am, however, heartened to see Old Ron back and posting. .

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
I was fortunate enough to meet Paul at Bonneville a couple years ago. He was a really neat human. I was trying to trick him into stopping off at the RODGE MAHAL on his way home on this trip. Bye Paul. Wayno

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
It seems odd to feel such loss about someone I never met but I do. I knew him, as many did, through his stories and images and the outpouring of support when he needed it. For me, he was living the dream, too. He never knew he touched so many lives....

Gosh, it is so sad when we hear that someone has driven that "final mile." Paul was a fine human being. May he rest in peace and prayers and condolences to all his family.

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
One of the most active people on the board, and full of interesting questions and knowledge.
JWL has it right...when you have to go, you are really lucky to check out while enjoying friends, family, and old Fords and not in a hospital with tubes down your throat. Most of the people I have lost would have given anything for that difference I think. My condolences to his family, may God be with you. Think of the good times, and from here it looks like his life held more good times than most. |

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
It would be nice if someone would direct these messages or maybe a copy of these messages to Paul's family (all but one message here that is). Maybe not right away, but after the family has more time to grieve. I think his wife and other family members would really appreciate reading these posts and knowing how much we all thought of Paul.

Re: Sad News...AV8Paul
I had seen Paul's car at various meets in New England, but didn't meet him until last summer at the Loring Timing Association land speed races. He arrived in his AV8 with his young grandson as “navigator”, and I immediately realized that only a very big-hearted person would do such a wonderful thing for a child.
