Ed

Thanks for posting, I was much too tore up at the time to post it myself. I appriciate all of the support from my Model A freinds as most of us know prayer is very powerfull and the best medicice of all.

Jessica remains in critical, but stable condition in the ICU at The Omaha Children's Hospital after being flown Flight For Life from the Kearney Hospital on Tuesday. We have seen slight improvements over the weekend. Not much change planned to her treatment over the next several days. With all of the problems this infection has caused, the most serious is the blood clot that formed in the artery that takes the blood from her brain. Another MRI will be done later this week to see its current severity. There is very little that the doctors can do with that with the exception of a very risky surgery that is done only as a last resort and would be foolish to do with the encouraging signs she is showing at this time. They are giving her mild blood thinners to make sure the clot does not get bigger. Likely she will be on these for up to 6 months allowing her body to slowly absorb the clot. The Doc's have basicly said they have done all they can do and the rest is up to God. From what I have seen God is working hard on this also.

I have somewhat limitted access to the internet at this time, but am on the waiting list for a laptop from the hospital to use while we are here. Likely being here is a case of months, not weeks. I may take a day to go home later this week to do some things that need done before it starts to get cold, and also see if I can spoil my new Grandson for a breif time. He was born the Saturday before Jessica ended up in the hospital, so things have been really a whirl wind. Will check back with updates as time and computer access allows.

Thanks You all for the Prayers.

Rod

I received a laptop from the hospital this am., so I should be able to give updates on a nearly daily basis. Today they will be backing off some more of the sedatives, so we can better evaluate her mental status and hopefully see more imprvements in her motor skills and communication. Likely it will be an emotional day in many respects, but will still leave more questions. The doctors are Pleased with her progress to this point, so I remain optimistic. Please keep the prayers coming as they are still needed. More updates as they come. Thanks Rod

Rowdy...

There are a lot of things I do not know. Among them are you, your family, and the power of prayer. I am amazed to see the support you are getting here, and I hope this brings some measure of comfort to you all. I happened to once be the child that caused the worry to my parents over forty years ago, and no parent deserves that level of worry.

I, too, want to wish you nothing but positive news and a return to normalcy for your family.

Richard

God showed me the power of prayer at a very young age and I can tell you there is nothing like it in the world. I greatly appriciate the support here on the board. Looking forward to brighter days and your posotive thoughts go a long ways. Maybe some day I will be able to meet more poeple from the board and we can change the fact that we do not know each other.

Also I want to puplicly Thank Don Graves (contacted by Ed Gross) and Ed Jankowski (both are members of the model A club in Omaha) here in Omaha for arranging a place for me to do some minor work on my pickup. It was running terrible most of last week. I may still have to make one more repair soon and it appears the same option is open for doing that. Rod

Hi Rowdy,..

I'm usually a V8 guy so I didn't see this until this morning,.. It would be a honor to add your Daughter and your Family to my prayer list. The Lord has lead me through a lot of hills and valleys in my life,... and he has always been faithful to see me through,..
God bless you and your family

Hi Rowdy,

I put her thru our prayer chain at church, so she's got a LOT of people praying for her here in central CA.

All our best, and let her know all the people she's got on her side as you are able!
