Default '40 Spare Tire Bracket

Are the spare tire brackets the same for other Ford cars? I have a '40 five window coupe and need the bracket, but which one? Of course the interior body brace has been cut out too. Could it be that Carpenter has that brace too? Seems to be no end to the details on these cars. Thanks: Fred A

The coupe stands alone.
Carpenter recently started to market the brace for your coupe. It comes with the bracket as well. Fairly inexpensive as I recall, maybe $60???

Good news about the brace and bracket. Had looked on their site and not found the brace etc, but only a few patch pieces not as useful in low-rust California. A friend with a '39 coupe had mentioned it but had not seen the actual part after delivery. I had talked to Carpenter at the LA Roadster about selling body components through his sidekick who handles all of the direct contact with the public. Odd as these guys seem, I'm thankful for what they supply. Thanks Kube: Fred A

Fred,
I can e-mail you a couple of pictures of brackets that have been removed from 39/40 coupes if you wish.

Sounds like a business coupe where it has two sets of holes for the mount. Good Luck: Fred A
