when I bought my '40 deluxe coupe 25 years ago, there was a beautiful new 2-piece grille (left and right) made by Ford motor co in the trunk.

Now I need a new center-piece only. where do you recommend I buy one center-piece of good quality?

If you can't find a decent one to re-plate, Drake is your best bet. They fit actually better then a lot of his stuff.

Drake sells the complete set only, they would not sell the center-piece only.

I had NOS grille halves on my 40 and used Drakes center piece. It was perfect. There are a couple Drake trim pieces on my 39. The only way I know they are repro is they are newer than my original parts (much shinier, etc)
