32 firewall differences?
Was told there's an early and late. I have a couple that have differences on the driver's side.

There were more than just two, perhaps DavidG's post last in this thread will help you best!!! Your right hand photo is the "early" version for sure

Re: 32 firewall differences?
I've had a bunch. I always was told the one in the red primer was an early? and the other one came a little later.

Re: 32 firewall differences?
I've observed eight visibly different LHD firewalls (Ford labeled them "dashes" in the day) and six visibly-different RHD versions and there may have been more.
In the photos in #1 above, that in the second photo with the depressed area meant to accommodate the vacuum storage tank for the never-released vacuum-assisted clutch is the second or third version depending on other features on the dash. The first photo is that of the most common version with additional space on the inside to increase the amount of toe room around the clutch pedal when depressed. |
