Has someone been messing with my engine?
After I got oil pressure on the '51 Merc engine I have been working on, I pulled the intake manifold. It looks like some one has been grinding on the ports. What do you think?

The EAC I'm tearing down right now has exactly the same tool marks in the intake ports. I'm certain it's from the factory.

Odd, the '50 Ford and '51 Ford engines I have don't seem to have this crude grinding; just the '51 Merc.

Looks very similar to the stock ports on the 48 I am currently working on.

Thats just the factory clean up. Any messing around would include grinding much deeper into the port.
