Default 1941 Ford Pickup Front Crossmember Question

Ive got a 41 pickup that I am working on and the front crossmember is busted. I was lucky enough to pick up a new crossmember at a local swap meet this past weekend but noticed a difference in the motor mount area of the crossmember. The 41 truck motor mount area is taller than the 35-40 crossmember that i got. I dont think the truck has the 6cyl crossmember in it as it doesnt seem as deep as the ones i have seen in the pictures. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe that the one you bought was originally used on 1937-38 Ford cars and 1/2 ton pickups, as well as 1939 Standard cars and 1/2 ton Pickups. Will also fit 1935-36 but is slightly different at the motor mount area. The one you need appears to be the same as used on 1940 cars I think.

Notice that the motor mount area is quite a bit lower on the replacement crossmember.
