66 motery windshield crome
Can someone tell me how to get the lower front windshield crome off a 66 mercury montery. I need to get this window out to paint the roof. any help is appreciated.

I have a '66 too, but have not pulled that piece yet. I would like to know also.

Re: 66 motery windshield crome
In a lot of Fords, the lower windshield chrome (stainless) does not come off with the window in place. Maybe your 66 is like this.

No, it has to come off, the windshield is installed with butyl. I think, but I'm not sure, the cowl panel has to come off, because the trim is attached to it. I'm at work for a few more days, so I can't look at mine. And I suffer from CRS.

Cool. That's what I kinda figured was the case. Thanks for replying with the answer, Popeye31.
