Default Back surgery tomorrow

Not looking for sympathy, just letting folks know that I may be off line for a while. Supposed to be the latest technology in back surgery, small incision about the size of a pencil, and the doc works through that with microscopic instruments. Should be up and around in a couple of days and "over it" in about 4 weeks. I certainly hope it corrects my legs giving away without warning. I am tired of bouncing off walls and floors.

Just to keep it car related, I will probably not be able to drive Apatchy for a while. I'll just have to go down to the shop and pat him on the headlights every once in a while to keep him from being lonely.

All the best Lawson for a successful outcome and a speedy recovery.

I suppose you will be working on the 1935-36 Pickup Truck book in the recovery period.

I had the same microsurgery done on my back about 5 years ago.
Before I couldn't stay on my feet 30 seconds.
The day after the operation I walked a mile!
Good luck...it sure worked for me.

Good luck Lawson. I've survived 5 of the old timey style back surgeries. It took that many for them to realize they had to remove bone in my back to take the pressure off the nerves and my spinal chord. The last one work though and I can walk real good now. No more sciatic nerve problems. I remember not being able to walk any distance without having to get off my feet. I remember the pain and trying to work through an eight hour day. To say I was miserable was the least and to be healed now is truly wonderful. I hope they're able to do the same for you only in a lot less invasive manner. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
