6 volt battery?
Where can I get the right size 6 volt battery for my 1955 T-Bird?
Advance Auto carries them but there is no store within 100 miles. Thanks!

Re: 6 volt battery?
I would think any farm store would carry them. I think its called simply a group one six volt. Same up to 55 in a Ford pickup.

Re: 6 volt battery?
Rural King carries two sizes of 6volt batteries. I am using the smaller one in my '55 but the larger one would have fit the battery case perfectly. Don't know if T-Bird battery is physically different shape though

Re: 6 volt battery?
NAPA's a good bet. My NAPA store carries the 12 volt Group 29 battery for my Edsel at about half the cost the antique battery shops charge.

Re: 6 volt battery?
I bought my last 6 Volt Battery from Caterpillar. They are heavy duty and provide plenty of cranking power. They are CAT Brand, so are very reliable.
