High demand & low supply = higher prices
High demand & high supply = lower prices
Low demand & high supply = lower prices
Low demand & low supply = lower prices.
Of course that's all in theory. Factor in greed, both personal and corporate, answering to stock holders, government subsidies, emotional investment...the list goes on and on.

It is called economics. He charges what people are willing to pay. If people are willing to pay high prices more suppliers will come into the market so they can make money. If he charges far more than the cost to manufacture and distribute them more suppliers come into the market the price will fall. He then will be faced with a smaller profit margin or loss. He has to walk a thin line between making a profit and encouraging competitors to enter the market. I am just glad companies are willing to risk there money to produce products.

kube --- what part of drakes `39-`40 boards as "delivered" wouldn`t pass the scrutiny of a "worthy judge"? you insinuate that they can be fixed to pass . hunleys `39- `40 boards while being very good quality are not accurate and can be easily spotted by anyone or a judge that has compared an original board. the inaccuracys are consistant and cannot be corrected-- barry

I like these subjects and it's good debateable information. These all are great view's on the subject. I'm looking @ running boards for the 39.

I may or may not get my boards from Drake, but here is a guy who is a small business. The heart of this country. He's doing what it takes to stay in business. Support it if you want. He sell's FORD parts, his business is on are side even though some parts are made OVER there

As for the 40 project. Who in their right mind would bitch about that. That project and vision is what my young nephews may be enjoying if I cannot find an original. We need more folk to move this hobby in that direction.

He may list 33-34 borads but may be 2 or 3 years before he actually makes them again. Has no stock

Cab looks to be a White 3000 and the rear seems to be for boarding aircraft BITD, when you would go out on the tarmac; just my guess. Drake must have added the upper windscreen,
seats, and dash. Any description given at the show macs67?
Oh, and I think he should stick to Fords, that thing is pretty goofy looking.

BD used to make running boards in the USA and sold them for $750.00 pair. Now, he makes them in the far east and charges $1,250.00 pair. What's that all about ?
Some say the machinery is not available in the USA. What happened to his old machinery ? Did he ship it to the far east ?
Greed and rip-off come to my mind !
