Default 31 roadster running board question

Hi , guys here's my question. How is the s. s. trim installed on the front edge of the running board? Looks to me like it loops over the top lip and then should be bent under the edge along the bottom, if so is there a special tool used so as not to nick or distort the stainless ? thanks THE HOOCH

Most running board trims are designed to do as you describe, hook over the top and then snap over the bottom. You will not bend anything as they are pre-made to fit. You can slide them on end to end, carefully. On real 31 running boards, the little rubber lip on the end trim molding actually lays over the trim molding on the very outside edge. If you slide them on end to end, you would want to be careful not to shear that little rubber lip off. You can usually hook the top or bottom and then snap them over one way or the other without bending them up.

The replacement trim does not come prebent on the bottom.... You have to bend it around yourself
I have bent them in a brake then installed

Try the search feature or look on Marco's site. I recall Marco posting some good pictures of running board trim installation and mitered corners.
