Default How to ID a 40-48 Lincoln Trans

I have a Lincoln trans but need some help figuring out how to ID the year.

Pretty much look the same thru those years. Compare the serial number stamped into the top (above the inspection window) to the serial # breakdown for those years.

Serial number on transmission will start with an"H" from 1940 to 1946 , 7H for 1947 and 8H for 1948.
