Default 1932 sedan roof repair

Okay, looking for some advice from any who have "been there, done that..."
The stamped channel around the roof opening on my sedan project is eaten away in the corners, photo of the worst corner attached. Does someone out there make a replacement for this stamped section? Any other solution suggestions? I would prefer to continue with the fabric insert rather than do one of those steel filler panels. The wood will be replaced during the process.
TIA

Yeah, I saw that one, and the info will be good for the tack strip/retainer, but I'm looking for a solution for the roof flange itself.

The flange can be mended with a steady hand and a wire welder. You can also back up the damaged portions with a wood piece held in place under the flange by screws thru good holes in the flange next to the ends of the piece.. This will allow plenty of hold for the tacks.

That is grim! I would place a Want Ad on the Ford Barn Swap Meet for a patch panel, you need a cut out from an derelict. OR, hand form a patch using a bead roller. Doesn't have to be perfect since it is out of sight when completed.
