I would like to find a set of five 1935 wheels. (I’m tired of patching my Coker tubes. I’ve had 2 flats in my new radials with new tubes.)

1935 wheels are a direct “bolt on” replacement for the stock Model A wheels, correct?

“Old dudes”? That doesn’t narrow it down much!

I plan to be there.

Yes, I will be there too if the Lord is willing. Planning to bring a '31 P/U Cab & Bed, some 16" wheels, and some surplus sheetmetal. Since there is a 3 day Model-T tour after the swap meet, I am planning on bringing my Sears Salesman's car to drive which unfortunately (-or maybe fortunately!!) severely limits my room for swap meet stuff inside the trailer.

We are trying to disperse some brass headlamps and other fittings from a late club member's collection. A lot of them are Model T. I'm pretty busy managing the liquidation of the main collection but I would like to try to bring them to Luray if there'll be interested parties there.

The Brass headlamp vendor has two spaces beside me at Luray. He's in the Chesapeake area,I'll look for his card.

I was in Luray yesterday and I was in a T shirt. It was mid 70s. The morning was a bit crisp likely in the low 50s.

How big does this meet typically get? I've passed on attending before, but if it's worth the 9-hour round trip, I'll definitely consider it this time.

And, I'd get to hang out with old guys from New Zealand. How could I beat that?

I believe Dennis told me yesterday they had 76 different vendors pre-registered with over 100 spaces. He said there is always a few that take a chance and come without reserving spaces.

I'm not really sure how to determine is it is worth a 9-hour drive. I guess that depends on what you are needing. Last year I purchased a set of NOS 28/29 rear fenders but I typically don't find a lot of NOS stuff there for Model-As. If you are looking for good mechanical parts, there is usually an abundance of that. Good restorable sheetmetal has been hit or miss over the years as far as availability IIRC. If you do plan on coming, I would recommend coming for Friday as the good stuff is usually gone by Saturday. Friday night dinner by the VFW is always a good time too.

Ohh, and how big does it get? The entire field that everyone sets up on is a little over 350' x 350', ...so roughly around 3 acres. Doesn't sound like it is very big, but I like the size because you are not walking forever.

I’m liquidating a collection with lots of sheet metal and rebuildable mechanical parts. If you’re going to Luray, post a shopping list and I’ll see what we have.
