Default Bendix drive

On a 40 deluxe. I have a friend who hears a thud, bang or something hitting when hitting a bump. We checked all bolts under car and everything seems tight. Only thing missing we could see is the bracket that holds the starter. Could this missing bracket cause such a noise?

Starter seemed tight when car was up on lift.

Thanks Andy

Andy,
Carefully check the motor and trans mounts. As the biscuits settle it is
possible the shoulder bolts have loosened.

Thanks Charlie, will do. Hope all is well with you.

Still can't say enough praise on the excellent job you did rebuilding my carbs. Car purrs at idle and very responsive at all speeds.

Many thanks!
