Bendix drive
On a 40 deluxe. I have a friend who hears a thud, bang or something hitting when hitting a bump. We checked all bolts under car and everything seems tight. Only thing missing we could see is the bracket that holds the starter. Could this missing bracket cause such a noise?
Starter seemed tight when car was up on lift. Thanks Andy Last edited by adileo; 10-28-2016 at 04:21 PM. |

Re: Bendix drive
Andy,
Carefully check the motor and trans mounts. As the biscuits settle it is possible the shoulder bolts have loosened. Charlie ny |

Still can't say enough praise on the excellent job you did rebuilding my carbs. Car purrs at idle and very responsive at all speeds. Many thanks! |
