Re: 1934 Oil Filler Tube
Is this the filler tube that is approx. 8 and 3/4 inches long, bottom is about 1 and 3/8 inch in diameter, is tapered up about one inch from the bottom, is flared at the top, does not have any internal baffles, and only has one retaining indent also only about one inch from the top? If so I have one, no two of them. Perhaps these are the breather tube for the 8BA engines, I can't recall. What do you think Ken? P.S. still working on cleaning up carb parts and related parts for you. Best wishes, Toby

Re: 1934 Oil Filler Tube
Tom, I have the oil filler tube for a '34, (it's the tall one). Unfortunately the aluminum base, (which bolts to the manifold), is broken. The tube itself is in good condition but not sure if it can be separated from the base. Maybe someone who knows could post with ideas how to do it.
What do you think, Kenct? |

Re: 1934 Oil Filler Tube
Ive never had success pulling 1 of these tubes out of the die-cast base.Seeing the base is trash, try heating it with a torch and it may come out.Heat the die-cast part only. ken ct.
