Is it 15 to one or 13 to one ?
anyone have info on putting 36 needle bearings in a 33-34 steering box.

I would not try to use the needle bearings on the early shaft. The 36 shafts used with the needle bearings were case hardened to cope with the high contact loads.

I have over 20,000 miles on my 34 Phaeton since I rebuilt steering box using the needle bearings for 1936 and is works great. No problems yet.
