The Ultimate Road Trip
Now here's a bucket list for you: all 48 states to 50 national landmarks all planned out for you in one trip. The ultimate driver's dream: http://www.mnn.com/lifestyle/eco-tou...e-us-road-trip
Below is a list of the destinations you'll see if you follow this ultimate road trip route:
I have actually done this trip and been all of those places in bits and pieces. Not in Old Henry though. That'll be another day.

Very interesting Professor.
I don't think I would be up to that much traveling. Bruce

Re: The Ultimate Road Trip
Dave Schaub did a similar trip to all 49 states a few years back in his '32 Ford roadster, for charity. He covered 9,800 miles in 216 hours......no co-pilot, either. DD

Re: The Ultimate Road Trip
Looks like a wonderful trip! I have at least one place, Mark Twain House under my belt. It's about 5 miles from my house. Beautiful old Victorian house, too bad it's in an area that is a little run down now. But still worth a visit.

Re: The Ultimate Road Trip
The good/bad part about a trip like that is that each place I would get to, I would see something else that would interest me and I'd want to explore it too. So put me down for maybe 8 months.

Re: The Ultimate Road Trip
I think mapping out the best roads to travel between the stops would be interesting.
A couple I can think of hwy #1 California and hwy #1 Maine. |

I couldn't help but notice they didn't include the Rodge Mahal Between Bryce Canyon and Craters of the Moon. Musta been an oversight. Wayno

Re: The Ultimate Road Trip
No. We're not going. I've already been there and done that. . . with 10 kids in our 15 passenger van with camping trailer behind. Not all in one trip, but been to all states on the road.
