I know what I think its worth. And know what he thinks. I would just like to see what some of y'all think.

How much is missing?
Any floors? Frame in the rear okay?
My wag would be 3k if that's all there is to 6k if it had all the rest of the car stored away in reasonable shape.
Is that close?

It's a '39 deluxe with '40 doors, no running gear, looks like no interior, cant
tell what cond the frame is in, dash is garbage, needs lots of parts & work.

To me, assuming the parts I can't see prolly all need lots of work too, I
would want to buy it for 2500 to maybe 3000 of my hard earned cash.

Also depends on what your planning on doing with it? Hotrod or Stock, for me a "Stock" guy, at most $2000 Maaaaybbee $2500 if I could run my hand across all the metal and feel what I'm looking at.

I wish I lived in the same place where a 39-40 coupe in that condition only costs $2-3K. Yes, I can see it's missing the drip rails, and it probably has floor issues. But that is at least a $5K car where I live.

I talked to him this morning. He is stuck on a lot more than I think its worth. Witch is probably why he has never sold it. Or much of anything.

I'm going to. He thinks 7,500. He buys and sells old cars. But he has been trying to sell this one for a while.

If it were my car and the body was a smooth as it looks and no filler I would expect $2500 - $4000, there is a lot that we can't see and feel. I know where you can get the correct dash for $120 with gauges but nothing else.

Sold a much better all '40 coupe 13 months ago for $8K. Some rust in the trunk. All there with title. In the same market I'd expect $4K. Good Luck: Fred A

It looks like the rain gutters are gone beyond the doors, that's a tough repair. 39-40 coupe project cars still turn up, there should be a couple at Pate this year, usually are.
