About all I did to get mine going was open it up, clean it up, and lubricate the paddle seal with distributor cam lube. I tried thicker such as Vaseline, which was too thick and caused too much friction, and just oil, which was too thin and would not help seal the paddle to the side of the chamber. It is still somewhat sensitive to temperature - i.e. runs very slow and sticks when very cold until warmed up. That isn't so much a problem now that I have insulated my garage so the car is always started above 50 degrees.

Within a few hours of the blizzard run the storm had passed, the sun came out, and we had some beautiful views from our house down the street out to the lake and mountains beyond:

And up at the mountain above us:

We're supposed to get snow tonight, Craig. Looks like we'll have a White Christmas. I hope you have a merry one. All the rest of you, too. For the record, I'm 100 miles South of Craig. Wayno

We got 8 inches last night. One of the whitest Christmases I can remember. I loved it so much I just sat out on the porch last night and watched the snow come down.

Your winter is obviuosly starting late up there. Our summer has started late down here. The decent weather has only really started in the last week or so. The Pohutakawa trees (often called the NZ christmas tree) that usually blossom about now have not flowered yet where I live.
