I just watched The Martian tonight. Now that right there was some road trip. It reminded me of mine in many ways with the surprise problems that had to be solved by thinking "outside the box" and just the plain "adventure of it all". At least my surprises aren't life threatening . . . so far.

I always enjoy your adventures....thanks.

"Horatio's Drive" is a great story as is Thomas Stevens trek across the US on a bicycle in April, 1884 and then followed that up with a bicycle trip around the world.

Well I got home safe, but the lawn mower was busted. Another project. Prof, you have a beautiful family there. I am fortunate to have My son and his six grand childern just a quater mile away. Four boys and two girls. Unfortunately, they have grown up and beginning to move away. How knows, maybe great grand childre.. I'd like to sane this thread to your folder, not sure how to do that? Will ask one of the kids. Take care.
