Default Seller anyone

I posted a thread a few days ago asking if anyone had heard of a seller named David Carner and no one had. So rather than send him $125. cash I asked him to go through ebay or paypal. I haven't heard from him since. So, be careful, they are out there.

Thanks,
Norm

Doesn't mean he is a bad guy, or a good guy. Maybe he doesn't deal with ebay or paypal period.

I agree with you on this point. I buy and sell very few things. If someone wanted me to learn to use EBAY or PAYPAL for a $125 transaction I would probably pass. The rest of the story still sounds "funny".

Same as Charlie Stevens said in his post or maybe the guy's integrity was insulted. some still believe in keeping there word and there integrity is first and foremost.

I would think that he should have at least responded one way or another.

EBAY is way overpriced and getting worse.I don't blame him.

Not sure. I had someone contact me about a windshield frame. Couldn't send picture, wouldn't tellme where in PA he lived and wanted a Moneygram. All o those things added up to a red flag to me. Sadly, there are some dishonest folks in this hobby who use the net to their advantage.

any one asking for western union or money gram for payment is a scammer, if you send money by either of those your money is gone

I hear Pay Pal is the modern way to buy and sell products on the web. I'm told the account is very safe and easy to set up.

I have never had a negative situation when using PayPal together with my credit card to make eBay purchases. Establishing a PayPal account was relatively easy. And I have had no problems in making purchases from established and/or known Ford Barn members.

Paypal is very useful for a lot of things including sending money back and forth with my kids! Instant transfers. There are risk with any transaction and you have to be careful who you are dealing with, but Paypal is the best I have found. Use it a lot with no issues so far.

I agree with the others about Paypal. It is quick and easy to use. They charge a fee that, when included with Ebay charges, is fairly high. It is safe, which is a valuable feature these days.

I have bought and sold stuff on eBay and FB with great success. As has been said many times, with FB transactions, some trust is involved. I have had no bad experiences. Some sellers require a money order, which probably makes sense, although for many people, a check is fine, too.

Where is this David Carner supposedly from? I have a friend by that name and has been a car guy in the past, but doubt he would have any Ford parts. Let me know location. Thanks. Rod

I bet there are probably quite a few David Carners in the USA, and we still don't
have one shred of evidence that Any Of Them have done anything wrong.

wyonorm, you should list more info, and list ALL the things that a person by this name
has done that proves he has tried to scam you, cause, as of now, this is a waste of time.
