Default Truck Bell

I want to replace the FE engine in my '66 pickup with a '77 Ford 300 inch 6 cyl. Can I use a later Windsor V8 pattern bell housing? The transmission is a New Process 4 speed.

Thanks,
Norm

You can machine the weight off of the inside of the SBF V8 flywheel and have it 'zero' balanced. That will work with the six cylinder engine assuming the flywheel has the correct number of teeth on the starter ring gear to match up with both your bellhousing and starter combination.
