Fantastic stuff... bought lots of fasteners & pieces from Roy for A, '32 and '53 cars over the years. It is all beautiful, authentic and thoroughly researched before it's sold.

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
Very correct and nicely made. we interviewed him a couple of years ago for the Model A Times. A good place to get the correct stuff. He does not wholesale so you won't find it any place else.

IMO, you will not find/deal with a better man in business ! Not only does he have special stuff to please us flathead people, but HE is accessible ..even on week end. Roy Nacewicz Enterprise , LTD is and has been known by flathead lovers for very long time. He, himself, takes the time to talk to a guy everytime. I have never heard of anyone that was not satisfied with his product and manner of handling the public. Let me tell you that I am not endorse him or his business...but I use his service/products with complete satisfaction ! Last edited by hardtimes; 03-21-2014 at 01:56 PM. Reason: ....brainlock... |

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
I looked up Roy on Google and called him to request a catalog. It came yesterday and looks like good stuff. Also he is a nice guy on the phone. I'll be making an order soon

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
They are definitely an improvement over most if not all new fasteners available elsewhere. And yes, Roy is good to deal with. It's worth noting that due to the different method of manufacturing used on many (or most) of the items made, they WILL look different compared to their original counterparts. Again however they definitely look better than other modern made options.

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
I agree with Marco, and my experience mirrors his. Roy's stuff is very nice, but to say it is imperceptible from Ford originals is stretching it in many cases.

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
I agree with Marco. I have purchased several orders of bolts including body to frame bolts sets $$$. His prices are up there, but his fasteners are better than most other places. However, I have compared his body to frame bolts with some originals I have acquired and they are different in several respects. I found the carriage bolt heads were bigger and the hex head bolts were not quite the same. The nuts are thinner and not shaped the same. Since I am a mostly a purest, I tend to make my own carriage bolts from old stock bolts and modifying the heads and cut new fine threads on them. In summation, Roy's bolts are probably the closest "off the shelf" fasteners, but not quite like the original fasteners.

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
i spent about 7-800 with him last year maybe more. some of his product is the same as the suppliers and some of it is better with the proper finishes. i got frustrated because he makes up the kits, bags them and to many times i received the wrong bolts, as some were for different years mixed in the bag or was short of what i needed. yes he takes care of it with a phone call but the wait time to get the right stuff is a killer as it ties up my bay. another time my order went to some other part of the country and their order came to me. it was a rear package tray for a 40's ford which i am still storing as he didn't want to send a call tag i guess because of the $$ but rather have me carry it around and deliver it to him at hershey. well i never went cause of the rain so i guess ill sell it one day. i have not ordered since and probably never will
when a good customer stops calling its good business to call them and find out whats up. i am in limbo right now waiting for the body to get painted on my current resto so i have not ordered from joe at tams in a while. the other day he called me out of the blue to make sure everything is alright thats a mench and good business man. Re: Experience with FordBolts?
I wonder if anyone has ever talked to him about reproducing better-fitting door bumpers, since current repros seem to give us fits when we try to install them.

Re: Experience with FordBolts?
I do purchase bolt nuts and other goodies from Roy, But I to agree with Marco in most cases there is nothing out there that looks exactly like the originals.
