Is the transmission a FoMoCo pickup type 3-speed top loader from 1942 through early 51 or is it something else? All of the top loader 39 thru E51 & side loader from 40 through 48 Ford semi synchronized 3-speeds have the same half bell and they share a lot of internal parts. 1940 was the first of the remote control side shifter boxes that were produced through 1948 in Ford & Mercury cars. Same mounting and gears but different main shaft for the open drive.

I don't remember the trans mount you have, but you may be able to cut 2 " out of the center of a 47 trans and bolt to frame.,
