Default Dads old "T".

Greetings from central Iowa. Recently my dad gave me his 1918 touring car. He has owned her since 1949. It had set without being started for 13 years. I cleaned out the fuel tank, sediment bulb, and rebuilt the Holly NH carburetor (not the original that came on this car). The original was a Holly model G, which I'm waiting on parts for now. Quite an experience working on this. I so much appreciate all you folks with all the postings on here, as it really helps me learn about these old Ford's. Thank you. I'm going to keep cleaning and take the best care I can of my new old "T". She's starting and running very well, but she does smoke a little. At some point I may need to give her piston rings and a valve job. But, as dad would say,"it doesn't have to be done by Monday". Have a nice weekend everybody.

What a beauty! You have a very nice Model T and a piece of family history. Did you help Dad work on it while you were growing up?

Looks great, I have My Fathers Center Door Sedan that he bought in 1950. He paid $50
for it and drove it home. We have toured many years with it, I have been polishing the
brass on it and cranking it for over 50yrs.......

All of my brothers-in-law have T's, one has several, and are in or around Albia, IA, about an hour south of Des Moines.

I just started on my 25 T Roadster/Roadster pickup that I started my collecting at the age of ten. The last time I worked on it, I was 15. I am now 49, and have been working on it every night. Nice to be back in it!! I live in Clare Iowa working at my dad's rebabbittings shop. Nice car sir!!
