1928 phaeton fan blade
Found a crack in our 2 blade fan, on the pulley side, 3/8" to 1/2" long. Replaced the blade this morning, Snyder's sent me one, check those blades, blade cheaper than a hood and radiator and no telling what else...

Re: 1928 phaeton fan blade
Was this an original fan or the new aluminum ones?

Re: 1928 phaeton fan blade
It was the original blade, I'm going to frame it and hang it on the wall. A good reminder...

Bob C: It is my understanding that the alum ones are castings.

Re: 1928 phaeton fan blade
I didn't mean to confuse anyone, it was the original blade that was cracked. I ordered one from Synders to replace it, a quick turn-around on the order. The new blade looks to be aluminum. With no cracks....

Re: 1928 phaeton fan blade
I have an aluminum 2 blade fan on my car for a number of years. It's working great.

Re: 1928 phaeton fan blade
I thought I read somewhere that MARC Touring Class judging is going to award full points with a new aluminum fan. I suspect fine point will stick to they're guns on origionals.
