Re: Upohlstry
I believe Classtique is the last upholstery vendor still in operation, so I guess you’ll have to take your chances.

Re: Upohlstry
As of the middle of last month Cartouche (part of Eckler's) up in New York was closed. All orders not shipped were canceled and all employees were let go. The new owner's of Eckler's is trying to find a buyer for Cartouche but i have not seen any more recent information.

Re: Upohlstry
Classtique is in Minnesota. I bought a upholstery kit from them about 10 years ago for my 28 special coupe. It was pretty good, but needed a fair amount of fitting.

Re: Upohlstry
I had one Cartouche kit. The roof fabric was cut short and one of the three panels would not touch the bow upon which it was to be tacked. The sides where the fabric joins the front bow were also sewn wrong. They would not warranty it and told me I should have test fit it instead of leaving it safely in the box.
I just fitted a new top on my ‘16 Touring from Classtique. It fits great. In regards to resolving the Cartouche kit, Mike at Classtique sewed up a partial top kit for me so I could get my car together. I have purchased two different Coupe kits, a Fordor kit, and a Touring kit from Mike and the previous owner Elizabeth. I continue to be delighted with the quality and customer service. And… I live in Michigan. |
