Also note the gas tank is under the seat, the same as the closed cab p/u and station wagon Last edited by Capn John; 01-25-2014 at 06:42 AM. |

That'd probably be it. Like I said, it's been quite a while since I last looked at it.

This could have been the truck in the movie if it had 16" wheels instead of 18's.
Now a restored V8 truck. All left the Ford plant the first time as 4 cylinders, but there was a bring back opportunity for a 1932 Ford V8. A total of 400 were made in 1932 and like this one they were sold to commercial fleet orders. This one was a Borden's Milk truck. If you look closely you can still see it painted on the door |

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures
I owned the black truck with blue doors that are in the first couple of posts. When I listed it on E-gay it was the first roadster pickup ever on that site. It had something like 12,000 page views. I purchased the truck from a gentlemen that had purchased the truck in 1956 when he was living in Palo Alto, Ca. From my research, there were 583 pickups made in 1932. Mine also came with an set of top irons and windshield with stancheons and block below the windshield.
I considered the rarity of the truck, then realized I'm a traditional hotrodder and sold it for a small fortune. Built a steel '32 roadster with an early Cad mill with a quickchange and haven't looked back. |

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures
I was bidding on the truck and would have sold my 33 Pheaton to make space in the garage. I have been collecting parts for one and seems any extra parts are in collections. I am sure there is a few of us doing the same thing collecting like Jarrod . I figure I can buy yours and have my holy grail RPU , it was a awesome truck and you would have any extra parts yet . Ha ha ha

I often thought that, if Ford ever produced a modern version of this and the 40/41 PU they couldn't make enough of them. I thing the latter id the moust beautiful small pickup ever made.

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures
The nicest most original 34 roadster pickup was found in a vineyard
up in Washington state years ago. The owner bought it brand new and removed the doors and stored them up on the garage rafters. He used it when the grapes got ripe to ride around and check them. Bill Sechrest {Mr. 32} Bought it and kept it for years. It was one of the last 32's he sold. I talked to him and was going to buy it but in three days when I decided to buy it, it was sold. I talked to the man that bought it but can't remember his name. The paint on the body was like new, the fenders had a few small dents which Virgil Stirum Bill's main body and restoration man straitened and refinished. G.M.
