Default Ford chassis parts catalogue

Have come across an original Ford Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalogue 1928 to 1938 just wondering if these are seen often and worth the buying?

Don't know about the 1928-38 but there are quite a few 1928-37 on epay and
they are also reproduced.

FoMoCo updated them every year until the war. They are out there. In 1939 when the Mercury came out, they started splitting the years away. I have one that was for 1938 to 1941 that includes trucks & Mercury cars. They always had a master parts book for the Ford cars though. The November 1950 revision was the last one for the earlier years back to 1928. Every time it was updated, replacement part numbers won out over original part numbers that were superseded by newer parts.

It depends on your personal needs. If you are restoring a vehicle, original parts book can be of some aid. However, keep in mind, as Rotorwrench has advised, these books list service replacement parts - not necessarily correct for your vehicle. Yes, the parts will fit and they will function but again, not necessarily be correct.
If you are in fact restoring a vehicle, it is best to acquire a book that was printed as close to the time your car was built.
As many know, I restore 1939 and 1940 Fords. I have several Ford parts books dated between 1938 and 1942. The variations in those books is amazing just within those few years.
