Introduction
Hello All
I am Roly Alcock, retired computer engineer, and am new to both this forum and the Ford Model A. I live in Worcestershire in the UK. I think that this is the first Ford car I have ever owned, if I discount the two Fords which were company cars I had 20 years ago. You can take a look at my car at http://www.mothy.co.uk I was very pleased to get it in such wonderful condition. It will need some recommissioning (like tyres and batteries and lube) as it has not been used for a few years. I was originally trained as an apprentice in a Standard Triumph garage in the UK in the 1960s so traditional car construction is not a problem for me. I am sure though, that I will be posing questions where I have not been able to discover the answers, in previous threads. Failure in my searching maybe due to the USA and the UK not using the same words or spelling. Petrol/fuel - gas, tyres - tires, and so on, and me not not using the successful combination of search terms. So bear with me if I ask an obvious well documented FAQ. I also have a 1934 Singer Le Mans, which is modifed 30 years ago, with an A series engine similar to what was fitted in the MG Midget. I do have the original Singer engine and gearbox stored away, and they can be refitted one day. However as the car runs so well in its current format, why fix what aint broke? The only problem with the Singer is space - I can only take one dog at a time in it. So I frequently am leaving one disappointed canine behind. I expect the Ford to address that social problem. Re: Introduction
Hello Roly,
Welcome to the Barn. You will find that the guys and some galls on this site will be of a great help to you with your A. They have "bailed" me out of many problems along the way. Don't feel so bad about your English spelling. Us "westerners" in the US sometimes have to have an interpreter to understand some of the "easterners" in the US. (That also works the other direction also)

Re: Introduction
Welcome Rolly!
Your Tudor looks great and retains a lot of early features. I am sure you will really enjoy touring and there is plenty of room for your friends. Gar Williams |

Mothy,
Train your dogs to watch left & right for incoming cars so your "WINGS" don't get crumpled! Don't rear end someone, as you have no "OVERIDERS!" ( Spent a stint as a Jaguar Technician. ) Bill W.
