Brass radiator 1910-20 for race car speedster racer. Look!
City:
Ocala
State:
Fla.
Price:
$1,500
Up for sale is an AMAZING brass radiator made by the Bush Radiator Company of Hartford I believe sometime between 1910 and 1915. This has a wonderful shape like a Rolls Royce, Moon, Roamer, etc. Superb for an early race car, speedster, Ford Model T racer etc. No one has been able to ID it. Have a unique racer!! Use the hole for the crank rod, leave as is, or cover over with a round piece of brass with the name of your race car on it. No this radiator did not come from a 1906-08 Ford N, R, S, but close in style!
Measurements: 14 inch bottom mounting screws center to center. Width 21 inches. Thickness 3 3/4 inches. Height from bottom to highest point of radiator just below filler neck 24 inches. Inside diameter of crank hole opening 2 1/4 inches. Incredible original condition! Only major flaw I see is at the very bottom of the tank that bolts to the cars frame around the petcock drain, there are several one inch cracks in the brass tank.(see photos 11 and 12) This is an easy fix for someone who repairs brass tanks. Probably want to remove the petcock, solder the cracks. Put a reinforcing piece of brass across the repairs, and be done, as the repairs are hidden under the cars frame. I will USA box, shrink wrap and ship for $100. good luck, George Albright, Ocala, Fla. --3---5---2---8---4---3---1---6---2---4---- |
