Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
Getting ready to head for the Blue Ridge Parkway tour. Lee & Scotty Ross have been down in Texas getting A/C for their Model A and will be joining us for the tour. We will be towing to Gatlinburg TN and driving the Model As over to the start of the tour in Charlottesville, VA. Hope to see a lot of the Fordbarners from the East coast on the trip.
After the tour we will be traveling to the Grand Opening of the Model A Ford Museum, scheduled for May 18th. This going to be a wonderful trip. |

Because it is on wheels, you can move your garage around to convenient locations.

If you don't open the windows on the Parkway, you might just as well stay home,,,, |

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
I loved the comment about not being able to open your windows....but don't you mean close your windows? For about 40 years I drove a phaeton to all parts of the west and central US and my wife finally asked why we couldn't have windows...so now we drive a sedan!

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
Wow, I did the same, and feel the same as well. I'd LOVE to throw my tent in the back of the A and drive that road!

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
Tom , like the pic of your phaeton. The older I get the more I like the non-restored ones. They seem to draw a lot of attention too.

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
Dale Walkser has done a great job with the Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley NC. Well worth the time. There is also a nice little motel and diner near.

Randall, sure do appreciate your offer. We leave Wed. from the Houston area and will be driving the A's the whole way to the Blue Ridge and then on to Kalamazoo for the grand opening of the museum.

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
Looking forward to the experience! We're leaving the A in Charlottesville, leaving the trailer to Pigeon Forge, then taking a rental back to Charlottesville. Anybody else from Eastern PA going?

Re: Blue Ridge Parkway Bound
I've been getting everyone's registration packets together. There's actually a large size group coming from Pennsylvania.
