Any Fordbarners live in the Bronx, NY.
Received a phone call Sunday from a person in the Bronx, NY. He was told by a friend at a swapmeet that I was looking for wood for the delivery sedan. He says he has the complete wood fit for it, but can not send pic's. He is alittle hard to understand, but seems like a decent person on the phone. Is there anyone real close by that might be able to go there, take a look and also send me some pic's? I can get the address without much trouble. Thanks Rod
I have 5 Firestone garmet hools from the 50's for the person close by that has a look and sends me pic's of what I might buy.

Post that request on the HAMB, there is a HAMB member with a shop in the Bronx that may be able to help. There are good and bad areas in the Bronxs. Bob

Re: Any Fordbarners live in the Bronx, NY.
Its posted on the HAMB in my thread about the delivery wood. User name there is carmuts (my old ebay user name), Rowdy was taken by someone that no longer seems to use the HAMB, but taken, none the less. Since the person that told the guy about the thread read the post, I was hoping he would also respond to it. So far that has not happened. Maybe I need to throw in afew more of the NOS garmet hooks. They are worth about $10 each so I figured I was atleast getting close to what it is worth to me to check this stuff out. Sounded like an older gentleman that was more into hotrods, but there is a snake in the grass in every segment of the world and anyone with some living under their belt can talk the talk with only rudemently knowledge. Thanks Rod

Re: Any Fordbarners live in the Bronx, NY.
Rod , Watch your step there , i advertised here & on the hamb for a B block , had reply from bronx NY , the guy even phoned me here in NZ twice , lived in an apartment , his price was too cheap, then changed the price, sent pictures etc , it had to be a scam , only wanted western union payment, etc . I googled his address also. In fact had two folk from there trying to do me , Yours MAYBE ok but be warned them scammers are getting clever , Derek in NZ

Re: Any Fordbarners live in the Bronx, NY.
That is why I am proceeding cautiously. Been doing things on the internet for 12 years and only had one deal I regret and that was with someone on the old Fordbarn. Been slow in making deals and only took a chance once and came out good on it. It was for the tool box assembly for the delivery. Price was alittle steep, but I also knew it might be the only one I ever found for sale. The wood there are always other options. Rod
