Reggie Dog, If you google "Antique Model A Ford Pictures" you will come up with hundreds in a wide variety of settings and predicaments, including illustrated period advertisements. There is also an excellent book dedicated solely to Model A advertising titled "ADVERTISING THE MODEL A FORD" by John W. Thomas that is still currently available. It has beautifully illustrated color pictures of Model A advertisements ranging from late 1927 through 1931 that appeared in many different period publications. Good luck with you search!

Looking at the picture with the Volkswagen in it I was wondering where it was taken. The bus stop sign is in English, and I can't tell if the traffic is actually on the other side of the road,or if they are just being directed around the accident.I THINK the A and the VW are RHD though. The VW has semaphore signals,so that means European and early.A few made it here, but are a rarity.

I wondered that, too. Might be bottles of gas from draining the gas tank.

You would probably like our Instagram page. We try to post a vintage Model A photo every weekday and usually do a Wreck-it-Wednesday post featuring a cracked up Model A.

That one had to fly to come down on the pole that way. It has V8 wheels so maybe it was "hot-rodded" with a V8 as well. These young people never learn!

Does anyone have pictures of smashed up Model A's from 1927 through 1931 that's what I was looking for all a long, so if anyone has them that I can blow up to like a 5" X 7" would be great as I want to hang them on a wall.

And the ones that I have been getting are small and you have to pay for them to get the picture without the writing on it, and there are some of them that I will do that but I know that there are some that you don't have to do that with.

So to make this short if anyone has pictures like that please send them to me as I would appreciate it.

My first thought about the A with the pole resting on it was that it had hit the pole, sheared it,flipped it up and then it swung back against the windshield.I actually did that in a 62 Volkswagen, except the butt and of the pole came to rest on the canvas sunroof.Looking close at that A I think the picture might have been taken in the process of removal,as the butt end of the pole looks to have been sawed off.The cut is too clean to have been sheared off in a crash.

I'm thinking that the pole is still hainging by the wires at the top. the broken area is sitting on the seat or on the floor of the car as it would have been broken off pretty low to the ground

Look up the Dick Whittington Collection. He was a commercial photographer in LA during that era who took a lot of insurance related photos of car wrecks. The roadster in Post #3 is a photo of his.
