PPG had a formula once that I had made in acrylic enamel. A/E doesn't exist any longer nor anything from PPG that might be 'brushable".

Some are happy with Bill Hirsch products.

PPG Delstar Acrylic Enamel #DAR 46261

A/E is long since obsolete, BUT maybe PPG can give you something in a 'modern' material from that number. Hope this helps.

I remember that was a very nice Roadster in your avatar.

A recent complaint I've heard about Bill Hirsch engine paint is that it is way too shiny and 'BH' doesn't recommend using flattening agents.

KBS paints has what they label as Ford green, get a hold of a good rep and see what he can tell you, I've found their engine paints to be top notch.

I use Bill Hirsch hand paint and I agree, it's very glossy. Having said that, it works well for painting the pieces you have to replace from time to time (like the gooseneck) and it does hold up very well. It covers well with one coat, and no primer necessary on cast iron parts. The glossiness makes it pretty easy to wipe off grease and oil.
