I had a friend who had one, and a few things I remember about it, were, it had the
P-71 option, which (I think), included 4.6 high output engine, dual exhaust, 140 mph
speedometer, bucket seats, 2 dome lights, and possibly more, but that's some of the things his had.

The 5th, 6th and 7th digit of the Vin must be P71 to be an original police spec vehicle. As far as the aluminum driveline, I have seen them in non P71 cars. Things seem to vary from year to year, eg., the cooling fan assembly on 07 and up seem to be the same on both versions. However, on an 06 they are different between the std and P71. Depending on the year, the pcm is flashed differently and the MAF is different.

While I have never been able to tell the difference, P72 is also a police package code. I drove a 1992 unmarked with cloth interior and carpet (chief's car) and it was a P72. It had all the other cop stuff (140 speedo, dual exhaust, oil cooler, etc).
