Default 6 volt optima battery

Anyone have pics to share? I'm thinking of getting one based on reviews here.

Scott had helpful advice for your next post. Now WE really don't care if you do or don't.

Mine just died after 12 years. Best battery I ever had. Anyone know where to get that case and top?

If you do a search you will find pictures of Optima batteries mounted in different year early Ford V-8's. I know I have personally made many picture posts of my mounting in a '35 fordor sedan. G.M. has posted pictures of three or four of his cars with Optima's mounted in the engine compart.

It's always a good idea to specify exactly what you are looking for in your original post.

Best price and best service for buying an Optima is Summit Racing Equipment. Part number ULT-9010-044. 1-800-230-3030

The best price I have found for a 6volt optima was Amazon , beat summit by almost $50 last time I needed one .
ok I have looked up both prices & edited my post
Amazon =$119.95
Summit = $137.95
both with free shipping .
Amazon gone up & summit less than when I last purchased .
cheers
Tony

Hey you're the one with cryptic post that leaves us guessing what you want, at least I was able to get the thread on track for you.
Next time how about writing something like "i'm looking for ideas on how to mount a 6v Optima in my 39 coupe. Does anyone have any pictures like this they would like to share."

Oh, and for my contribution, I'm not ready to mount it yet but I'm thinking about using a 50 cal ammo can as a battery box. The length and width are okay but I"ll have to cut the bottom out to get more height:

I see you edited your first post and removed your nasty comment. Thanks for that.....This site is all about helping others and should not be one that takes shots at others.

BTW - your constructive "contribution" is a good one.

I had a couple of them one. Of the two, one needed some warranty attention shortly after I bought it. Now the "fun" began.

If you got the battery via mail order such as Amazon (and others), your hurting. They will not accept a return of a used battery nor will shippers knowingly ship it. If you try to take it back to a local dealer they will tell you to take it back where you got it. I called Optima for help and got the run around. They will not accept a returned battery. That was over a year ago. Hopefully, things have improved.

Generally, these batteries are trouble free but I would get a clear understanding of the warranty before I purchased one.

Tom
