Interior cab size 1931 truck
Would the leg room and cab size be the same in a truck compared to a coupe? I only sat in a truck once and it seemed tight for me 6' 2" size 14 shoe. I thought it might be different because the back part of the seat is right against the back window. In the coupe you have that shelf behind the seat. I would like to get a truck but it can not be any tighter than the coupe else I can't drive it.

I don't know about a 31 but I don't think you could get in my 29 without booking an appointment with a chiropractor. Wayne

Re: Interior cab size 1931 truck
My friend has a 31 wide bed and I find it tighter than any coupe I rode in.
I think his seat back isn't right, because it's very vertical and uncomfortable. |

I have both and the truck is much tighter plus you can adjust the coupe seat but not the truck.

Since you say you'd like to get a truck, you might consider some of the things others have done to make a little more room, especially, replacing the original thick seat back with a thinner one of half or less thickness. The 2 or 3 inches gained that way make a huge difference in leg room and ease of getting in and out. |

Still love looking at the Model A truck ad with 3 burly guys in the cab.
They may have been burly, but they also had to be friendly. |

My 31 truck is definitely tighter than the 28 coupe.

Re: Interior cab size 1931 truck
I am 6-2, 230lbs and size 12 shoe; there is a big difference between my 1931 coupe and my 1930 pickup. The coupe has more room. When I drive the truck I wear canvas tennis shoes. They are thinned soled which helps immensely.

Re: Interior cab size 1931 truck
I too have a '31 pickup and a '28 coupe. At 6'3" and 250 the truck is a tight squeeze though I hardly notice any more. The coupe is much roomier and I sit lower in relation to the windshield so I can see out of the car better. In the truck, I can't see stop lights without ducking down. Still, because the truck is so useful, open bed and lumber rack, I end up driving it three times as much as the coupe.
