B model distributor
Does anybody know of a source for an overhaul kit for a B distributor? I found a good candidate for swapping the stock unit on my '30 Tudor.

Re: B model distributor
Renner's Corner used to be the "go to" place and I would assume they still are: (734) 428-8424. Remember when timing it the timing gear has the timing pin in a slightly different location.

Re: B model distributor
IMO, the only place for a B distributor is in the trash bin. They are junk and I believe they are the reason so many B blocks end up cracked. They do not advance reliably and as we all know, an engine running retarded will run hot and that is what causes the cracks. I've heard it said that a thinner casting is responsible and I hold my opinion on that. Thin casting or not, when the distributor doesn't advance properly, the end result is a cracked block.
I have 3 of them and I can't see any reason to turn the place upside down to find them. My advice is either use an A distributor or buy a later one that works. It'll be cheaper in the long run.
