Default 1933 1934 Ford New Part Rumble Taper Guides

I am working on the manufacture of a new item which is a pair of tapered aluminum guide for the rumble area of the 1933 and 1934 Ford. All cars with rumble seats came with equipt with these from the factory. They helped to guide the rumble lid in closing. Originally they were made of aluminum and were painted body color. Should be ready soon.

Bill,

Great idea but they appear to have far less taper top to bottom than the originals. Maybe it's the photos.

Weren't these also used for trunk lids?

Yes, but a different shape (semi-circular).

Thanks. Are the trunk style reproduced? I don't recall seeing them.

Not that I'm aware of, but they aren't difficult to make out of 3/16" aluminum stock (and a good selection of files).
