Yes, it is 10 PM here on the W coast but it is Nov 11th on the other side. Happy Veterans Day to the rest of you who also wore the uniform of our country. It was a privilege for me, USAF 1970-1976.

One day a year is not enough to honor those that served, show kindness and respect to them every day.

Margretha and I were (and are) proud, honored and blessed to have served. Even prouder of those who recognize and step up to serve today ~ absolutely not easy!

Also, a big thanks to the families, loved ones and friends of those who have served - your support is so appreciated.

God bless all our veterans, those who are still living and those who have passed. We are still a free country and those veterans have sacrificed to keep it that way. We are indebted to them all.

Yes indeed, God Bless all those who served. I worry about instilling such patriotism in our future generations. We all know "Freedom really is not Free."

I'm 89 and was a cold war draftee. I spent most of the time in Germany. My wife found my old OD army jacket yesterday and I tried it on but it didn't fit. I really respect those who fought in the many wars.
