Unless you are being a purist for a restoration (which I suspect 95% of the people on the Fordbarn are) using a '41 wheel with the sloped drop will be much preferred over a '40 wheel, experienced the first time you change that tire yourself. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but the slope really makes fitting the tire and tube much easier.

Yes, ditto, that is the total reason for the sloped metal, to aid installing or removing the tire... .
